Mission Montana Bible Fellowship

Our name says it all. We are Followers of Jesus who are on mission here in Montana. You don't have to go around the world to a distant country to carry out the great commission of Jesus. We have a state full of people who need to know about the Salvation of God ~ Jesus! As a ministry our focus is on the Bible. We don't follow the doctrines or traditions of men, we follow the whole counsel of God as seen in the scriptures. The scriptures guide all that we do as a ministry and as Followers of Jesus. Lastly, we believe in Jesus's divine plan when He created His Church. We need each other! The Fellowship that we have through His Spirit which lives in us is a precious gift. When we gather as His Church, He promises to be there in the midst - He is the Head of the Body, the Church which He purchased with His own blood. It's His Church - that's all we are attempting to be - His Church. His People. His Followers. His Worshipers!

ON Mission IN Montana

Most people think about Montana as a pretty conservative place, however when you look at our voting record you will notice that our state has often been divided on matters of morality. As a State we have our challenges; alcohol and drug use, human trafficking, sexual sin, among many other trials. Montana is also blessed to have a turn toward conservative leadership in our State Government, as well as many more conservative Christian Leaders serving as our Representatives in the Legislature. We believe that part of our mission is to lift our leaders up in prayer. We need to pray over our land. We CAN choose to make Jesus the LORD OF MONTANA and dedicate our home to Him. We can make that choice and declaration! Most people haven't considered that their prayers and proclamations over the land can have a very power effect. Let us speak life into the Treasure State and uphold this land in prayer.

Our love for our neighbors must come out in some manner of action. How can we help? How can we show Christ's love to others? As a ministry we want to develop a culture where we are LOOKING for opportunities to help others. Jesus has commanded us to serve the hurting, the lost, the broken, and the outcast. You don't have to look very far to see people in need. What will you do? As a Fellowship, we want to meet people where they are; introduce them to Jesus, and water the great work that God will do in their life.

Serve the Lord~By Serving People.

1Ti 2:1-4

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

James 2:14-18

What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, "You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Pastor Justin Michels

Pastor Justin has served Jesus in Montana for over 20 years. His family has lived in Montana since the late 1800's and his roots here are deep. Justin loves the people of Montana. Over the course of his life he has worked as a sawyer, a fire-fighter, carpenter, asphalt sealer, tin-smith, sawmill worker, heavy equipment operator, saddle maker & leather worker; but his greatest love is working for Jesus as a pastor. Justin loves the Word of God with all of his heart and is called to teach and preach.

Pastor Michels has been married to his lovely bride Tammi for 28 years. Tammi is truly his ministry partner. She has a heart for camp ministry, and often serves as lead cook for large events. Tammi is always working behind the scenes to make the ministry effective.

Justin & Tammi have one son, Jonah. He is their great blessing from Jesus, a true answer to prayer. Jonah is an outdoorsman who loves to hunt, fish, and look for rocks. As a family they love to explore old mines, frontier history, and spend their leisure time in the mountains.

Pastor Justin is also the Founder and Director of Bowman Ministries. A mission extension of the Church working in partnership with native leaders in Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Siberia, and Malawi. Bowman Ministries works to reach the last unreached People Groups in the most remote regions. "The Bow sends, the Arrow goes, but they are both in the Master's Hand."

The teaching of the whole counsel of God is very important to Pastor Michels. He does not teach nor endorse the doctrines of men, nor the traditions of men, but rather strives to teach the clear Word revealed in the pages of scripture. Straight forward and clear Bible teaching.
